Thank you for the comprehensive and hands-on presentation regarding 'getting help when you're on the open ocean' at our recent new members' dinner.

Attendees at the event gained a great deal of knowledge about how to properly communicate and get help while on their boat.

My Time Finally Came

Thank you for the safe and professional towing job

I have been a member of Sea Tow for several years and have never had a need to use it. I always paid my annual fee because I knew I would need it eventually.

Well that time finally came. I was traveling South in light winds approximately 4 miles north of Scituate and my transmission broke. With the Sun setting on a Friday evening I pulled out my Sea Tow card and called the number.

I promptly reached a Sea Tow representative. She calmly discussed the situation with me and took my position and cell number. I was a little apprehensive when I was told the Captain of the Sea Tow boat would call me back in 2 minutes. I didn’t believe I would get a call back that fast on a Friday evening since this wasn‘t an emergency. Well to my surprise the phone rang exactly 2 minutes later and it was Captain Ethan saying he was on his way. Half way to my position he called again and confirmed he could see us signaling him with our strobe light. Once he arrived he handed us a clean adequate sized bridal for me to attach to the boat. Once attached we were on our way. Captain Ethan towed us at a safe and comfortable speed to Scituate Harbor where we then picked up a mooring.

You did an Excellent Job! Keep up the Good Work!

I’m definitely going to continue to be a member of Sea Tow after my experience with Captain Ethan.
