The Sea Tow Foundation Life Jacket Loaner Program is made possible through grant funds from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, administered by the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as through donations from corporations and individual Sea Tow members. The Foundation recently received funding for a new grant from the Coast Guard to continue its Life Jacket Loaner Program through the 2015 boating season. Plans are underway to open even more Life Jacket Loaner Stands between now and then.
The Sea Tow Foundation wants to see more boaters wearing life jackets while having fun on or in the water, because life jackets save lives.
“Regardless of the reasons boaters need to borrow them, Sea Tow Foundation Loaner Life Jackets will continue to be available for boaters and other water-sports enthusiasts to borrow through the 2015 boating season and beyond,” said Gail Kulp, Sea Tow Foundation’s Executive Director. “We look forward to continuing our efforts to spread the word about the importance of life jacket use, and offering the life jackets themselves free of charge to back it up.”
