Sea Tow Franchise Training Courses are open to the entire Sea Tow Network, and draw a great mix of attendees from around the country, ranging from new Sea Tow franchisees learning the ropes (no pun intended) to old hands brushing up on their skills. Everybody at Sea Tow headquarters gets involved in the training, including Sea Tow Chief Operating Officer, Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer III, and Sea Tow Chief Administrative Officer, Kristen Frohnhoefer.
Five days of the course take place in the classroom, where we update the franchisees and Captains on operating procedures, programs and policies, as well as new initiatives, including our new Sea Tow Foundation Life Jacket Drive program, and the new Sea Tow member benefits we’ve added through national partners such as Built for Boating, MarinaLife and the U.S. Power Squadrons.
For two of the training days, attendees jump aboard our Sea Tow boats for a series of training exercises including stern and hip towing and ungroundings, as well as salvage operations that meet the highest environmental standards. These exercises will help our Sea Tow Franchisees to earn or renew their OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification and hone the skills they use to aid boaters in their Sea Tow operating areas back home. And of course, no job is complete until the paperwork is done. All trainees learn the administrative backend of running a Sea Tow Operations. Ultimately, our Sea Tow Franchise Training program is designed to provide you, our valued members, with the best possible service and continued Peace of Mind on the Water®.
