As part of its mission to help promote life jacket use, the Foundation stocks more than 290 Life Jacket Loaner Stands nationwide where boaters may borrow life jackets for free for a day of safe fun on the water. Stands are made possible through a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration & Boating Trust Fund, which is administered by the U.S. Coast Guard. Since its inception in 2008, The Sea Tow Foundation Life Jacket Loaner program has loaned more than 29,000 free life jackets to boaters.
“The Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Stands can be a Godsend to boaters who discover at the ramp or in the marina that they don’t have enough PFD’s for everyone on board, or need a different size to fit a guest or a child,” said Sea Tow Foundation Executive Director Michael Wesolowski. “Life jackets save lives, and we are happy to welcome new applicants to this vital program.”
