Sea Tow's Women Are Making Waves

We’re proud to announce that our own Cindy McCaffery, Vice President of Program Development, and Gail Kulp, Executive Director of the Sea Tow Foundation, have been recognized as Boating Industry “Women Making Waves” class of 2019.

Those selected to receive this award represent “the multitude of women in the industry who have made and continue to make great contributions to its success, propel its growth and lead their organizations and peers into the future," according to the publication.

“We’re extraordinarily proud of Cindy and Gail,” said Sea Tow Services International, Inc.’s CEO, Captain Joseph Frohnhoefer III. “They continue to excel in their roles and we’re grateful to have them on our teams and for the leadership they demonstrate. Cindy and Gail are very deserving recipients.”

As the Vice President of Program Development of Sea Tow, Cindy has been instrumental in overall growth of Sea Tow through core programs and strategic partnerships.

"It’s been such a joy being a part of the team here at Sea Tow for the past 10 years," Cindy said. “To be named alongside so many wonderful women is such a great honor. I couldn’t have done it without the rest of the team."

As the Executive Director of the Sea Tow Foundation, Gail has been a leader in helping spread awareness of the importance of always wearing a life jacket and designating a Sober Skipper, as well as overall boating safety.

"It's such an honor to be recognized among so many powerful and creative women," Gail said. "I've crossed paths with a number of them throughout my career in the marine industry. These are some of the most dedicated and hardest working individuals I've ever been around and it's wonderful to be able to share this honor with them."

Many of the other women included on this year’s list come from industry giants such as Yamaha Motor Corporation, West Marine and the National Marine Manufacturers Association. According to Boating Industry in its May edition, “With over 100 nominations for this year’s Women Making Waves, choosing the highlighted women was no easy task. . .The group of women in the proceeding pages have given everything they have and more to the marine industry and have accomplished so much."
