When the phone rings, Jake Brassil is there to answer and help a boater in need. Jake, one of Sea Tow’s Customer Care Representatives, handles a wide spectrum of calls - from boaters who need on-water assistance to boaters who have general questions. In case you call and Jake is on the other end, we wanted you to know a little more about him.
Question: How long have you worked at Sea Tow?
Jake: Sea Tow was my very first job as a teenager and I started in the company’s shipping and receiving department. I joined Sea Tow’s Customer Care Team about two years ago.
Question: What is your favorite part of the job?
Jake: It’s very rewarding to hear a member say how pleased they are with the service our captains provide.

Question: What are three things you enjoy doing on your day off?
1 – Going to the beach
2 – Reading a book (Currently reading Rousseau’s Dog)
3 – Playing videogames with my college buddies
Question: Are you a sports fan?
Jake: Yes! I love hockey and am a huge New York Rangers fan.
Question: What is your favorite vacation spot? Or do you prefer to stay close to home on the North Fork?
Jake: My favorite vacation spot, though I’ve only been once, would have to be Costa Rica, but usually I stay close to home.
Question: Are you a boater?
Jake: Not right now, but I hope to one day own a boat!
Question: Do you have any pets?
Jake: Yes, I have a Shih Tzu named Chewie. The name is short for Chewbacca from Star Wars.
