Our Team

Ryan Bayley - Owner/Captain
Ryan has been the owner of Sea Tow Great South Bay for 8 years and has been in the marine assistance industry for almost 10 years. With his lifelong experience boating on the waters around Long Island and his background in business management, sales, and finance, owning a Sea Tow franchise was a perfect fit. Although Ryan can be found on the water at times, he is usually chained to his desk managing the various aspects of this extremely busy franchise. Ryan holds a US Coast Guard OUPV Captains License with a Towing Endorsement.

Paul Tuma - Operations Manager/Captain
Capt. Paul has been on the waters of the Great South Bay for over 30 years and has a vast knowledge of all things boating. He serves as Sea Tow Great South Bay's Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting the owner in overseeing the day to day operations including managing the office, employees, and vessel maintenance and repairs. Capt. Paul holds a US Coast Guard OUPV Captains Licence with a Towing Endorsement.

When not working Paul spends his time at sporting events cheering on his three sons. And, on a rare occasion Paul enjoys an offshore fishing trip to the Canyon.

Captain John has also worked part time as a Bay Constable and Ferry Boat Captain. John holds a United States Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters License with Towing Endorsement.

If you have a question regarding the history of the Great South Bay or anything to do with a classic boat, Captain John is the man to ask. Known for his colorful and enthusiastic personality, John is quite the character who always keeps people entertained.

Jared McManus - Captain
Captain Jared has been with Sea Tow GSB since April of 2011, however his work on the water began 9 years ago when he earned his 100 ton masters Capt. License and started working for the Fire Island Water Taxi’s (where he still picks up a shift whenever he gets a chance). A few years ago, Jared followed his childhood dream and went through the Suffolk County Police Academy. Immediately after graduation he began his career as a Police Officer for the Ocean Beach, Fire Island Police Department (where he is still currently employed). Jared takes great pride in helping others in their time of need, so both of his careers are a great fit for him. When not working he can be found surfing, on a golf course, or spending quality time with his family.
