Our Team

Mike DeGenaro - Owner/Captain
Captain Mike comes from a family of commercial fisherman, and grew up running lobster boats on Long Island Sound. After spending some time working in commercial towing, Mike decided to relocate to Florida in 2004. After further experience in commercial towing in Florida, he purchased Sea Tow Charlotte Harbor in March 2005. Mike holds a 50 ton master license, is Haz-Mat certified and a PADI diver. He is also a member of Punta Gorda Boaters Alliance.

Marcus Shore - Operations Manger/Captain
Captain Marc joined our Sea Tow team in 2008. He has spent over twenty-five years boating on Charlotte Harbor and surrounding waters. Marcus holds a 50 ton master license with towing endorsement, PADI open water dive certification, First Aid, CPR, and 40 hour Hazmat Certification.

Marissa Barone - Office Manager/Head Dispatcher
Marissa is the friendly voice you will hear if you call the office during business hours. Marissa was born and raised on the coast of Maine, and later moved to Ohio to be with family. After seven years of operational management in Ohio, Marissa was happy to move back to a coastal state, and joined our team in 2019.

David Nielsen - Dispatcher
David joined our Sea Tow team in 2008, and has been our weekend dispatcher ever since. He has been boating since he was a member of the BOY SCOUTS. He is a certified safe boating instructor and vessel examiner. David is also an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Englewood, and U.S. Power Squadron Punta Gorda.

Jacob Neef - Dispatcher
Captain Jake joined our Sea Tow team in 2015. Jake has been working in the marine industry for over fifteen years. Before becoming a Sea Tow captain, he worked on an offshore supply vessel in the oil fields. Jake holds a 100 ton master license with towing endorsement, USCG STCW-95 certified, and is Hazmat certified. 

Alex Morales – Captain
Captain Alex joined our Sea Tow team in 2016. Originally from Miami, he grew up boating and fishing in the Florida Keys. Before becoming a Sea Tow captain, Alex captained dive boats, and led fishing charters out of Miami. He holds a 50 ton master license with towing endorsement.

Paul Maslow – Captain
Captain Paul joined the Sea Tow team starting in 2008 with our Atlantic City franchise. After retiring from the Atlantic City Police Department in 2013, Paul relocated to Englewood where he continued to work on the water. Before joining Sea Tow Charlotte Harbor in 2018, he ran a water taxi around Little Gasparilla Island, as well as private charters in the area. Paul holds a 100 ton masters license with towing endorsement.

Ruh Diehl – Captain
Captain Ruh joined our Sea Tow team in 2019. After living in Ohio, he came to the area in 2014, and has been on the water ever since. Soon after moving to the area, he became a charter captain in the Cape Coral area prior to working with Sea Tow. Ruh holds an OUPV license with towing endorsement.

John Estill – Captain
Captain John joined our Sea Tow team in 2019. He has been on the marine operations team with the local fire department for five years, as well as an avid boater since the age of twelve. John not only has nineteen years of boating experience, but nineteen years of Charlotte Harbor boating experience. John holds an OUPV license with towing endorsement, an EMT-B, and is CPR certified.

Our Boats

Monsoon - 24' Willard

Monsoon is a fully equipped and ready to perform all towing, ungrounding, jump starts, fuel drops, crew boat work, survey work, and assisting in search and rescue operations. This 1991 Willard had a complete rebuild in 2014 and is located at Gasparilla Marina.

Sea Tow 20 - 26' Shamrock

Sea Tow 20 is fully equipped and ready to perform all towing, ungrounding, jump stars, fuel drops, crew boat work, survey work, and assisting in search and rescue operations. This 1984 Shamrock is located at Burnt Store Marina.

 

 

Sea Tow Spare Rib - 18' Northwind

Spare Rib is a 18ft Northwind. In 2015 it underwent a total refit. It is located at Gulf Coast Marine in El Jobean. It is perfectly equipped for shallow water response in the Myakka River.

 

 

 

Sea Tow Prime Rib - 18' Northwind

Prime Rib is the sister ship of Spare Rib, also an 18ft Northwind. It will be commissioned out of Laishley Park in February 2018 for shallow water response up the Peace River. 

 

 

Typhoon - 24' Willard

Typhoon is fully equipped and ready to perform all towing, ungrounding, jump stars, fuel drops, crew boat work, survey work, and assisting in search and rescue operations. This 1991 Willard had a complete rebuild in 2012 and is located at Laishley Park Municipal Marina.
