Our Boats

Sea Tow 1 - 24' Privateer

"Boat 1" is the original Sea Tow boat which made its first call in 1983 with Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer, the founder of Sea Tow at the helm.

She is a 24' Privateer which has twin 150HP outboards and is so well suited to the marine assistance industry that you will find that many Sea Tow franchises have adopted this model as their daily workhorse.

She spends much of the year stationed at the Mattituck inlet on the Long Island Sound where she handles some challenging sea conditions.

Sea Tow 25 - 25' Proline

"Sea Tow 25" is a versatile 25' Proline with twin 150HP outboards and a custom pilothouse to give all weather protection to the captain.

As with all of our fleet she is equipped for recovery, damage control and oil spill remediation. Our captains appreciate her high speed capability.

She is the boat of choice for late night ops on the Peconic Bay due to her normal home port's location at Deep Hole Creek on the Bay near Mattituck.

Sea Tow 26 - 26' Twin Vee

"Sea Tow 26" is a Twin-Vee 26' catamaran with a custom pilothouse.  She is powered by twin 150HP outboards and due to her twin hull cat design she is highly maneuverable and very much at home in the high seas and the choppy conditions found in our area of responsibility.

As with all of our fleet she is equipped for recovery, damage control and oil spill remediation.  She is the most recent addition to our fleet and her popularity with our captains means that she is almost always "first out".     S

The roomy cockpit also provides an excellent platform for recovery and damage control operations.  Her home port is at our main dock at Founder's Landing in Southold.

Sea Tow 31 - 31' Fountain

"Sea Tow 31" is a 31' Fountain go-fast and with her twin 225HP outboards she lives up to her reputation as a very fast boat.

Her custom pilothouse provides ample all weather protection to the captain and also leaves enough room so that she is rated as a walk-around which makes it easy and safe for the captain to move about outside the pilothouse.  As with all of our fleet she is equipped for recovery, damage control and oil spill remediation.

She is stationed at our main fleet dock in Southold and is the first choice when we need to make a fast response to the outer portions of our area of responsibility.

Sea Tow Guardian - 24' Boston Whaler

"Sea Tow Guardian" is a 24' military model of the Boston Whaler commercial series.  She has a custom pilothouse and is powered by twin 150HP outboards.

As with all of our fleet she is equipped for recovery, damage control and oil spill remediation.   She still carries some of her military heritage with embedded armorplate which we do not want to put to the test.

She is stationed at our main fleet dock in Southold and is always ready for anything we can throw at her.
