Our Team

Chris "Mac" McCarthy - Owner/Captain
With over 25 years of boating experience from the east to west coast, Captain Mac grew up in Southern New England and graduated college in Boston. He started his Sea Tow career with Sea Tow Boston in 2001 and spent a winter tour of duty with Sea Tow Ft. Lauderdale before heading west and managing Sea Tow Newport Beach\LA in 2004. "Our success to date is not only due to the strategic business partners we have developed, but also from our members: boaters in the know who believe in taking care of their own boats, and boaters who know to call Sea Tow for their non-emergency assistance needs." Captain Mac currently serves on the C-PORT Board of Directors and is acting Treasurer for the newly established CA Chapter of C-PORT called CMAP; California Marine Assistance Professionals. He currently resides in Huntington Beach, CA with his wife Laurie and two young Sea Tow Captains in training; his two sons.
