Our Team

Kevin Scott - Owner/Captain
I have been a long time Sea Tow Rhode Island Captain and am now proud to be a franchise owner. I have a love of the water and I get a thrill out of being there when boaters need me!

Hal Records - Captain
Capt. Hal is a professor of CIS at Byant University. He has long had a love of the water and boating. He joined the staff of Sea Tow Rhode Island in May 2009.

Jay Shabo - Captain
Capt. Jay has been with Sea Tow Rhode Island since 1999 and he is a teacher in the off season. His skills are wide ranging and highly tuned.

Mike Warner - Captain
Capt. Mike is a diver who joined Sea Tow Rhode Island in 2007. He enjoys fishing in his time off and he is a board member of RISAA. He serves in the National Guard and he reports regularly for active duty.

Pat Foley - Captain
Captain Patrick Foley, a native of Jamestown, Rhode Island, recently retired from the United States Coast Guard after serving 20 years as a Boatswains Mate. He and was assigned to numerous multi-mission Cutters and Small Boat Stations from Rhode Island to Florida. He joined the team of captains at Sea Tow Rhode Island in May of 2011, continuing his passion of working in the maritime environment and assisting others. Captain Foley currently resides in Jamestown, Rhode Island, with his two children; Shane and Julia. In his spare time he also operates the Jamestown and Newport Ferry.

Our Boats

Block Island - 23' Steigercraft

This little boat is a tough work horse, powered with twin 140 Suzuki 4 strokes she handles the rough stuff. Equipped with all a captain needs for dealing with all on water service needs a boat may require.

Genesis - 23' RHIB

This 23' RHIB with twin 175 Suzuki engines was specially customized to server Rhode Island boaters.

Falcon - 26' Prosport Procat

The Falcon is a catamaran with twin 150 Suzuki 4 stoke engines. She is loaded down with all the equipment a captain will need to handle any on water boaters needs. From simple jump starts to full on flooding. A built-in jumper system, dual VHF radios, depth sounder, radar, and GPS/chart plotter are just a start of her list of equipment. Multiple de-watering pumps and even a back board for serious recuse needs.  

Vigilant - 25' Bluefin

This is one quick little boat. Powered with twin Mercury 150 2 strokes. When the job calls for getting there in a hurry Vigilant fits the bill.
